Associations
The Oost Gelre municipality has a vibrant cultural life. There are musical, singing, drama and carnival associations in the municipality which organise regular concerts and performances.

Film and theatre
The ’t Doek film house holds weekly screenings of films in Dorpshuis Den Diek at Dijkstraat 30 in Lichtenvoorde. There are two movie theatres in the region: Skopein in Winterswijk and Cinecity in Doetinchem.
The cultural centre De Bron in Groenlo hosts regular performances and readings. For live theatre visitors can choose between the De Storm theatre in Winterswijk or the Amphion theatre in Doetinchem.

Sculpture

The unique sculpture route ‘Groenlo Sculpture City...Groenlo Sculptural City’ showcases around twenty outdoor sculptures from both famous and less well known Dutch artists. The sculpture route is unique in its diversity, having resisted limiting itself to one theme.
