Gemeente Oost Gelre - Coat of Arms

The ‘Hoge Raad van Adel’ has designed a new Coat of Arms for the municipality Oost Gelre. The former Coat of Arms of both Groenlo and Lichtenvoorde were used as a starting point. The design is made up of two parts and is a combination of the castle of Lichtenvoorde and the lion of Groenlo.
The municipality council and the local historical society approved the design.
